Brianna Calisthenics College
Brianna Calisthenics was established on November 2, 1978, by Maree Gale after some encouragement from friends involved in Calisthenics and some interested parents. The name Brianna means "Strong one"; a fitting name given the physical requirements of calisthenics.
In February 1979, Brianna held its first classes at Tinternvale Primary School. The club began with 55 girls and only 2 mothers that knew anything about Calisthenics. Initially the club had Tinies, Sub Juniors and Juniors, who competed in two competitions each.
The club continued to grow, adding Intermediates in 1981, Seniors in 1986 and Masters in 2007.
